What Is Brown Noise?

Think of brown noise as the deep, steady hum of ocean waves or a gentle rumble of thunder far in the distance. It’s richer and lower than white noise, and warmer than pink noise.

What Are Binaural Beats?

Binaural beats work by playing slightly different tones in each ear. Your brain processes the difference between the two as a third tone (the “beat”) which can influence your brainwave state.

For creative focus, the sweet spot is alpha waves (8–12 Hz):

• Relaxed but alert.

• Great for writing, design, problem-solving, and ideation.

• Keeps you from slipping into either jittery overdrive or sluggish procrastination mode.

When listening to binaural beats targeting these brainwave states, individuals may experience a heightened sense of focus and concentration.

This can be especially beneficial for creative tasks that require sustained attention and intense mental processing.

The Pomodoro Technique structures your work into short sprints, usually 25 minutes of focused work followed by 5 minutes of rest.

This:

• Prevents burnout during longer creative sessions.

• Gives your subconscious mind space to make new connections between ideas.

Developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s, this time management method is all about working smarter, not harder, as they say.

Here are the steps you can follow to use the Pomodoro Technique:

1. Pick one task

2. Set a 25-minute timer or use Creative Enabler’s creative focus timer

3. No distractions allowed until that timer goes off

4. Take a 5-minute break

5. Repeat steps 1–3 four times if you are working on something big

6. Take a longer break of about 15–30 minutes after doing a couple of Pomodoro cycles

Here’s Your Voice + Vibe Framework (No AI Required)

Use this DIY process to figure out your tone, style, and creative POV without outsourcing your soul.

STEP 1: Write Like Nobody’s Watching

Take 10 minutes and freewrite about:

• Why you started creating

• What frustrates you in your niche or industry

• What you wish people knew about your work

No filter. No polish. No trying to be clever.

This is your raw material.

STEP 2: Read It Out Loud (Yes, Really)

Listen to the way you naturally express:

• Sarcasm or humor

• Passion or rants

• Encouragement or advice

Ask: “If this was a podcast script or a voice memo, would it still sound like me?”

STEP 3: Define Your Voice With These 3 Questions

1. What’s my tone? Casual? Encouraging? Nerdy and precise? Spicy and direct?
   ➤ Use 3–5 adjectives.

2. What’s my vibe? How do I want people to feel when they read my work?
   ➤ Empowered? Seen? Lit up? Like they’re in on a secret?

3. What’s my creative POV? What do I believe that drives the way I create, teach, or share?
   ➤ “Creativity doesn’t require permission.” “Perfection is a trap.” “Marketing can be joyful.”

Write these down. Stick them on your wall. Drop them in your Notion dashboard.

STEP 4: Reverse-Engineer Your Best Work

Look back at content that resonated: Posts that got comments, emails that sparked replies, captions you’re still proud of.

Ask:

• What patterns do you notice?

• What language keeps showing up?

• What’s your go-to rhythm? (Long rambles? Short punches? Playful lists?)

Your style lives in the way you say things—not just the what.

STEP 5: Choose a “Voice Filter”

Before you publish something, run it through your own filter:

“Does this sound like something I would say to a fellow creator over coffee?”

If it feels stiff, over-polished, or like you're impersonating a thought leader, backspace.

Start again, but looser.

How to Use ChatGPT Without Losing Your Voice (Only If You Want!)

Okay, so you’ve got a better sense of your tone, vibe, and POV. You don’t need AI, but it can help amplify what you’ve already defined.

Here’s how to use ChatGPT after you’ve done your human homework:

ChatGPT Prompts to Try Now That You Know Your Voice

• “Here’s my voice guide: [insert tone, vibe, POV]. Help me reword this paragraph to better reflect that.”

• “Give me 5 hooks for this post that sound encouraging, honest, and a little spicy.”

• “Rewrite this call-to-action with more personality and less corporate fluff.”

• “I talk like this: [paste a short example]. Help me generate an Instagram caption in the same tone.”

Pro Tip: Don’t ask ChatGPT to define your voice. Ask it to match the one you already know.

You can train Jasper.ai on your brand voice using examples of past content you have created, your website, marketing materials, and text that you copy-and-paste. This will allow you to create new content and remix old content.
